When an expecting mother receives a clinical referral before a complication becomes a crisis, she survives — and so does her baby. At Rooted in Purpose, Inc., RN-led education and community screening are not supplemental services; they are the bridge between knowledge and survival. Every dollar you give funds that bridge — in Fort Worth today, and in communities across the country tomorrow.
Provides one complete CPR/AED training kit for a community member entering healthcare — including an AHA Heartsaver skills worksheet, CPR pocket mask, disposable gloves, and course reference card. These are the tools that turn a neighbor into someone who can act in the 60 seconds that matter most.
Covers the full AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED course registration fee, printed provider manual, and certification card for one community health worker or doula. A certified CHW carries that credential into every home visit, every prenatal support session, every maternal health screening they conduct for years to come.
Puts a dignified, everyday-quality backpack directly into the hands of a pregnant or postpartum woman at the point of care — stocked with a home blood pressure monitor so she can track her own numbers between appointments, an RN-written plain-language card on preeclampsia and gestational diabetes warning signs, a small self-care item that says you matter, and an Identity vs. Assignment journal that keeps her connected to Rooted in Purpose long after the visit. Also available as the Teen Edition — same tools, teen-level language, normal-looking backpack that protects her privacy.
Funds one RN-led point-of-care screening session — covering blood pressure cuffs and lancets, condition-based food bag supplies, maternal health education handouts, clinical referral packets, and CHW coordination time.
